THE DINING ROOM, A MEETING POINT
A good diet will ensure that our children develop healthy and strong.
The school canteen plays an important role in the comprehensive education of the child, as it is the place where experiences, stories, experiences, etc. are shared, which is why we place so much emphasis on its socialising role and try to take advantage of it.
The goals of a healthy diet at this stage are:
- To cover the energy and regulatory needs that allow for the correct growth and development of children.
- Establish healthy eating habits and prevent the onset of chronic diseases in adulthood.
- Allow the correct psychosocial development of the child and his learning.
In order to achieve these objectives, we have to take into account some points:
- We should not prepare food with foods that our child has never tried before, since we will not know how much he can eat and if he does not eat enough, he will not be well.
- Ideally, the child should know what they are carrying, that way we can make sure that they consume it.
- The food must be safe; that is, the food placed in it must not spoil easily. Thermal food must be used so that, when the time comes to eat, it will be in the same condition as when the food was prepared.
- Food should be easy to portion so that it is not difficult to cut into the lunch box. Although it would be easier to send it to them already cut, it is important that they practice using cutlery on a daily basis. But this process should not take them so long that it prevents them from playing during playtime.
- The food cannot basically include pre-fried or pre-cooked frozen products, since they have significant concentrations of sodium.
A good diet will ensure that our children develop healthy and strong.
