This stage is formed by two levels: Jardinera (children who have turned 4 before December 31st, of the year before they started school), and Preparatorio (children who have turned 5 before December 31st, of the year before they started school).
According to the preschool school curriculum, our students carry out their learning experience through an educational proposal that aims at a comprehensive training. This proposal takes the whole person into account, so as to be able to contribute to a full realization.
About this, the document “Characteristics of the Education of the Society of Jesus” considers that “a profound and healthy intellectual instruction, includes the command of the basic disciplines, both humanistic and scientific, and pays special attention to the development of the imagination, the emotional intelligence and the creativity of each student”.

In the context of preschool, the students discover and develop their capacities in different areas:
1. Pastoral and catechism – In this area the children are given contents related to faith, to the person of Jesus, and the experience of that faith which is expressed through gestures and attitudes, is stimulated. The values of solidarity, the respect towards others and praying, are dealt with.
2. Personal and social – the process of self-knowledge, integration to a group and relationship with others, is guided.
3. Motor ability – The aim is to enable a greater and gradual control of their body and of the tools used in the graphic productions (sheets, paintbrushes, markers and pencils).
4. Communicative (Spanish and English) – the oral language is stimulated through numerous means, as well as the written language, which is stimulated through exploration. Other expressive languages, such as plastics and music, are also explored.
5. Cognitive – Thinking skills are stimulated, as well as the capacity to make use of the understandings built upon the knowledge objects.
Throughout this stage, we want our pupils to strengthen their autonomy and enjoy their achievements.
