Last Monday 11th June we welcomed the visit of a group of students from Gonzaga College, a Jesuit preparatory school for boys in Washington DC. The boys were accompanied by two teachers and spent all Monday getting to know our school.
It was a very intense morning that started with some of our 6th grade secondary school students giving them a tour around school, showing different parts of Sagrado Corazón building. Afterwards they had the chance to take part of an Anthropology class with a 5th grade students, where they exchanged views on the markers of each others’ cultures. Then, Giuliana Mardero, one of our 6th graders, shared with them what it has been for her to spend all her schooling life at Colegio Seminario.
They also participated in a talk delivered by Gustavo Monzón, S.J. to all 6th grade students. Lunch was another opportunity to get together with some students and teachers, to talk and to have a feeling of what is like to be a student here.
The day finished with a visit to our domestic chapel, where Pablo Michel, S.J. guided us through an Ignatian Examen, giving us the chance to go over the day and to thank God for this very enriching visit.
